• Not using good quality paints and materials and I'm talking about finish coats now. Whether it be gloss enamel, satin or semi gloss good quality is always the best option. Buying the you bute special bonza paints that has probably been mixed in a high school science lab is NOT COOL MAN. Good quality enamels and let's not forget water based and environmentally produced paints and glosses are your best bet. Remember this! {quality products produce quality workmanship.}

• The most crucial common mistake when home painting your woodwork is a bad quality BRUSH. The bottom line is, if your willing to use a broken stick as your finishing brush, expect your finish product to look like #!@$ also. A brush with a beautiful soft bristle and these days they make good quality synthetic ones that can handle the miles quite well, this is your best option, and these are the only types of brushes I use these days whether it be for oil or water based paints. For the beginner I suggest a 63 mm sashcutter. This type and size brush will cover all your bases.

• So last but not least the number 5 mistake that people make when home painting woodwork is not forgetting steps 1 to 4. You have to have a system when doing woodwork then you can't go wrong. Prepare, undercoat and do your finish work, but introduce a system for yourself and keep repeating it. This way you're guaranteed not to forget things and make mistakes.

It is better because of the shape and the use of the special baffles. What is shown in this video is an actual wood stove / furnace being used. When I first started using this stove I had no idea it would put out as much heat as it did. I would figure 150000 btu. The Dakota Stove could be built a outdoor boiler. It would easily be better than what is being built now. With the straight vertical design of the fire box, the baffles work best with my shape. Most outdoor boilers are a cylinder laying on it’s side – try to put my “patent pending baffle” in to one of those stoves. IT WON’T WORK BECAUSE OF THEIR SHAPE!
